selling personal information is genuine problem these days but it doesn’t mean that all companies are just for stealing information and not giving any insurance services online, Its all about research and work before chosing some company for your can to be insured properly. its good if you are looking for some car insurance quotes, you may can find some cheap policies but also take note of your state’s coverage you can save money in this way by buying only required coverage. I want to know because it might just be cheaper to proceed outside of insurance claims.
Yes, a claims free discount means exactly that claims free. it does not depend on who filed the claim.

I am planning to enroll my new car. I want a complete coverage but at a reasonable cost. I don’t wanna be spending too much just for my car insurance. Help please…Thanks a lot.
Just get a quote from insurers you get from yellow pages,. the internet, the TV, the radio.
Just don’t go for the first price they quote you but spend a few days collecting data.

Statistics show young men have more accidents so naturally they will pay more for car insurance. IF statistics showed one race got in more accidents or one race had their cars stolen more could insurance companies legally charge more to them? Serious answers only, please.
Car insurance is not "sexist". It does, however, base it’s rates on proven statistical data. Unfortunately, insurance is the one business that must decide how high their experenses will be BEFORE they incur the costs. There can be no profit if it’s just a guessing game. Once the statistics are verifiable, they must be submitted to the insurance commissioners of that state to be approved before the rates can be released to the company to be used.
If there was a capability to determine someones exact race 100% and there was statistical data to back the rate structure based on any particular races driving habits, I believe there would be scaled rates based on race.
Currently rates are based on marital status, age, occupation, credit history, claims data, sex, type of vehicle, frequency and reason for use of vehicle and multiple other factors.

I am planning to take a health insurance policy for my parents. I also want to know which insurance company will claim the disk prolapse operation? Because my dad is suffering from disk back pain. I’d like to take such a plan. I am from pune. Working in software industry. My company is not providing for total family, but providing for me.
If you do buy a private plan, you father would most likely have to wait out a pre-existing clause exemption. This means he may have to wait a year or two before any surgery, or any medical care related to his back for that matter, would be covered. However, since you are not protected by the statutes of a group policy (those policies offered by an employer are often much more liberal), there is a possibility that anything ever related to his back would NOT be covered. This prevents people from buying insurance just to get covered for an expensive procedure and then ditching the coverage afterwards.
Aside from that, just about any major medical plan will cover back surgery, but for how much and under what limitations are going to depend on the personal provisions you elect to pay for in the policy. For someone with a known medical condition, I’d expect to pay well over $1,000 a month (probably close to 2) for his coverage on a good, private policy, and then have to wait a year or two to wait out any pre-existing clauses.

I have heard that accidents and tickets will affect car insurance rates for five years. I was in an accident four years ago, that was determined to be my fault. Now, my (old) insurance company just settled this claim. Is this going to affect my rates for five years from the settlement date or from the date of the accident?
totally depends on company & specifics. in your case, from date of accident, i think. i had a minor accident (w/ my own garage!) & it was only 2 years.
I’ve found some helpful info here too:

My car insurance expired a year ago. I didn’t renew it as I had a company car. I now have my own car again and need proof of my no claims. However, I can’t remember which company I was insured with and can’t find the old insurance certificate!
There are a number of things you can do to find your car insurance coverage history & claim history:
* Look through old bank statements / credit card statements. Because there’s usually a company name in the description line for your payments, you can probably find out which auto insurance company covered you at that time.
* Contact your local DMV – your DMV may be able to tell you about your previous insurer, but with no claims… maybe not. Here’s a site that lists direct links to US DMV websites: http://www.dmvlist.com
* Get a CLUE Report – a report from this site will outline your claim history for vehicles / property for your future insurer. If the other options fail, this would be the way to go. You can find out more information here: https://www.choicetrust.com though, I’m really unfamiliar with it.
The last may be more what you’re looking for, but checking bank statements and credit card statements may be faster and cheaper.

I recently filled my prescriptions, and used my insurance (Aetna) to do so, and I was wondering, will my prescription info be sent to me in the mail? Like will I get a bill explaining what they paid? And will it be Itemized? And Can they raise my insurance because of it?
