In Ahmedabad,Realiance life insurance company has rejected a woman’s application for life insurance on the reason she is pregnant more than five months.
She is working in a hospital and doing her medical check up regularly and till now no other medical problem.
All other insurance companies are also keeping this policy?
Now a days pregnacy death is very rare.
Why should an insurance company keep 19 centuary belief?
It is because insurance companies find mortality rate of pregnant women in India is too high (even higher than Srilanka). Why should they take risk unnecessarily?
Currently, in India, the premium charged from client for life insurance policies includes the commissions that the agent will receive from the insurance company.
New scenario is developing: Life insurance companies will not give any comission to agents but the agent will charge a fee.
Any one has clarity how this works in other countries:
1) What kind of fee is charged by agent
2) Is the fee disclosed to client
3) What about subsequent years earnings
4) Does the insurance agent come under service tax this way
1) This would be a fee for service senario much like investment advisors, where they will charge you X amount of money per hour for consultation services, whether you buy or not. Just like a lawyer charges you whether you win or not, or whether it even goes to court.
2) I would assume this would have to be legally disclosed to the client before any services are rendered.
3) There would be none. No residual income…if you provide good service/advice they will come back…that’s your future earnings.
4) Depends on your local laws on whether it would fall under good and services taxes or just under a flat income tax fee. Would likely depend on whether it’s an incorporated individual or a person in an independent self-employed advisor role.
It seems that liberals and Democrats do not understand a few things about car insurance.
1.You do not have to have it if you do not want it. You just can not own and register a car.
2.It is regulated by the states not the federal government.
3.You buy it to protect the people/property of other people you destroy with your car. (liability is the only required form of insurance you have to have)
4.Driving is considered a privilege not a right.
So knowing all of those things how could someone equate it to a federal mandate to buy health insurance to be legal as the same thing?
In some states when you have a substantial finance statement, you are not required to carry any insurance. Health is not their concern, it is another ply for government complete take over!

So I know that the car insurance companies prices are "based on statistics" that show men get into more accidents than women, but… If it was statistically proven that for example, African Americans got into more accidents than Caucasians, would they be able to charge the African Americans more?
If they can be sexist, can they be racist?
Welcome to the world of double-standards
I’m wanting to put life insurance on my son’s father. He is my beneficiary and I just feel that it is necessary for us to have this! Ive been searching the internet and I cant seem to find what I’m looking for. Does anyone have a suggestion on which company I should use or how I need to go about this… I got my insurance through my job so I really don’t know how to go about getting life insurance on someone else!
You can’t do that without his concurrence. HE should be the one getting the policy.
I understand that Michigan is a no-fault state, and as a result everyone gets this PLPD insurance or something. I’m moving from Pennsylvania and had full coverage on my car for about $90/month. I thought PA and MI were both no-fault, but it seems different and the rates I’m being quoted for the same insurance in MI are higher. I’m so confused!! Also, right now I am on State Farm. I’m 25 but on my mom’s plan, and I am getting married/changing my last name and I now live in Michigan so it is past time for me to pay for my own insurance.
Right now I’m on State Farm, and there are agents both here and in PA, but their rates seem to be high.
Michigan is a wierd state for insurance. If your car is worth anything, you will have to have physical damage coverage. Reason: If you are in an accident, the most you can collect is $500.00 from the other insurance company ( it is called a mini tort) unless you ae legally parked at the time of loss. As the laws are this way, the rates are higher as the Insurance co’s cannot collect the damages that they paid out from the other person’s insurance co due to the law only allowing the mini tort $500.00. Also, the closer you are to Detroit, the higher the rates due to the high incidence of auto theft in that area.

The insurance companies can then just charge as much as they want to people that have expensive preexisting medical conditions. For example you have diabetes, you go to get insurance, the company says sure we would love to insure you for 1000/month. Who can afford that? The government would have to also tell the insurance companies how much they are allowed to charge for it to help any.
Well i do understand where your coming from, but they see it as you never got insured until you got sick and know you want us to pay. Think about a car, you don’t get it insured until you wreck it.lol They would make no money, but i do think their is the exception for people who could show that they just could not afford it. health coverage is a big problem for a country like America, only a smart and well thought out plan can actually work to benefit most people, obama care is such a clear case of trying to grab 1/6 of the economies wealth to shift political power, anybody with a high school education who really looks at it can see this, the only people defending it are the ones who don’t research politics, or far left liberals with an agenda
