How do I bring my car to the insurance company if I don’t have insurance?

I called up state farm to get car insurance on my el camino, and they want to inspect my car before they give me insurance. I have to have insurance before I can get a title and tag. How am I supposed to drive it down to the insurance place to get the insurance if I don’t have insurance or a tag in the first place?

Tell them that you can’t do that until a policy is issued and the vehicle is tagged. If they don’t "get" it, find another agent or insurance company; you’re dealing with an idiot.

The one time I was told that an inspection would be needed, the company (Geico) issued a policy on the contingency that I brought it to the local office for inspection within 30 days. If the State Farm agent you’re dealing with can’t do that, they obviously don’t want or need your business.

oh the catch 22. Get digital photos and send them via e-mail. pictures should include front, back, both sides, interior, any extra aftermarket components and the VIN.

People drive without insurance all the time. Just take the car down there, let them inspect it and get the insurance so you will no longer be illegal.

A reputable insurance company will send someone to your house or where the vehicle is to inspect it. If State Farm will not do this, they do not need your money & you surely do not need their services
