How is the deal with insurance for a rental car in Mexico?
I read in many website how high the price of a rental goes when they add insurance. At the same time, it could be much more expensive not to have insurance.
Is it better to buy insurance somewhere else? Where? How?
How do I deal with my credit card rental car insurance? Wil they give me proof of insurance?
I guess I forgot to mention that I am flying to Cancun and intend to rent a car to drive for a week in Yucatan.
I recommend you call a local auto insurance agent to assist you. Since I live in Pennsylvania I can’t suggest an agent in New Mexico, but here is an resource that can help you. http://www.autoadvicetips.com/Auto-Insurance-Quote.html

American insurance is not effective in Mexico. You”ll have to purchase Mexican insurance for the trip. This can be purchased in many American towns bordering Mexico.

autoinsurance.noneto.com – try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.
