My old insurance company would pay for my rx. Then the company I worked for changed insurance companies and they don’t cover what I used to take. How can I get them to cover this? Or can I?
I have already tried calling the new insurace company and was told that don’t cover this med. How can I jump through hoops to get this covered?

SlyKitty, unfortunately, if your new insurance company does not cover it, there is no way you can let them cover your old prescription. That is always a problem with switching insurance companies. They have to have "reserves" set aside to pay claims, which CAN be invested, before they can sell a single policy.

I completely agree. Can you imagine if an insurance company was forced to take on all customers with preexisting conditions . They would fold literally over night. Insurance is for unforeseen events, not to cover events after the fact. I am in a weekend-only program at my job. My employer does offer STDI, but not to employees in this program. I can’t even take a payroll deduction and pay for it myself. I am having a tough time finding an insurance company that will offer STD to me as an individual.
Have you used a reputable company that you could recommend?
Aflac replied that they only do payroll deduction at this time….
