How can I find the insurance company for my gym?

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Without notifying my gym, I wanted to let their insurance company know that they are putting gym members in jeopardy due to some of the conditions at the facility. The gym has ignored my requests to pay attention to the hazards and I want to let their insurance company know. How do I find out who their insurance company is? Again, I do not want to ask anyone at the gym. Thanks!

You can’t. It would violate the privacy laws. There is no database.

Believe me, insurance companies would be INNUNDATED with people trying to complain and "advise" with their unprofessional opinions, about the policyholders, and they wouldn’t investigate ANYWAY.

So either go to another gym, or call your local building code inspector and let THEM deal with it.

What is a good insurance company for my motorcycle in Boston?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

I have a motorcycle that I have to register in Boston.. problem is that I need to get it insured first. I know that theres a fixed insurance rate in Massachusetts so many insurance companies don’t do business in the state… does anyone know a decent company around the area?

I also wanted to know how much I would end up paying for the minimal insurance package… a few people have mentioned it coming up to around $200 a year, does that sound about right?

The Premier Ins Co. insures motorcycles in MA. I know, I have them for my bikes. Your premium depends on your riding experience and the bike itself. The more time you have been riding the less the premium. As well as if it’s a new bike or old. You need to contact a local insurance agent to get that info.

How can one get a health insurance company to pay for a back inversion table?

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

The insurance company says that a back inversion table is experimental, therefore, not covered. How can one get a device paid by the insurance company that would benefit the insured? The inversion table would expand the spine, allowing blood and other fluid to flow more freely.

The table sounds good, but the problem is that :

1 – insurance companies pay for as little as possible
2 – there is little evidence to show a benefit to the table.

Do the amounts an opposing insurance company tend to correlate and fluctuate depending on the economy?

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Do the amounts an opposing insurance company tend to correlate and fluctuate depending on the economy?

Will an insurance company tend to base their offers based on the economy of the time? Will an insurance company usually offer more when the economy is doing well and less when the economy is not good? Or is there no correlation?

If you are talking about an injury claim – the offer is based on the injury itself. The adjuster does not consider the economy.

What company provides a life insurance quoting engine software to install in an insurance agency website?

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I need a software where I can input one (or more) life insurance company rates. Preferably if I have the freedom to input any company and not "pre-packaged" ones. Thanks.

You are better off hooking up with a General Agency. They allow you to use their software to shop out all the carriers they are contracted with. You will have to contract with the agency and then use them for all application submissions. Try this site to find the best life insurance quote

Here you can get quotes from different life insurance companies in your area, its the best way to find an affordable life insurance with a reliable company.

How long does insurance company have to respond to a claim?

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Was in wreck w/semi-truck in Oct.. Driver took pic of wreck and brought back w/him. His insurance will not respond to lawyer. How long to they have to respond. If anyone knows, about average amount a trucking company will pay. They found out I have nerve damage to right leg-may not ever be able to return too work. Thanks for any input.

If you have a lawyer it’s their job to answer these questions for you. However, in the meantime I would suggest checking with the insurance commissioners office in the state where the accident happened. Most states have what is called a "Fair Claim Practices Act" or something similar. That should outline what the allowable time frames are for the trucking company’s insurance company to respond. If a claim has been reported to an actual insurance company they normally will have 30 days to respond to accept/deny the claim or request additional information from you.

Many trucking companies are self-insured or have huge liability deductibles which means the claim may not have been reported to an actual insurance company yet.

Good Luck

No ugly answers please. I already know I shouldn’t have been driving.

VIRGINIA M, For car insurance the quickest method to get a low quote is do a auto policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an fast quote to compare against others. How can it be legal for a Medical Insurance Company to deny benefits to a customer?

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

Isn’t that the whole reason for paying for insurance? Shouldn’t all conditions, ailments, and injuries be covered? If not, then way are we paying into insurance?

Why isn’t their an insurance company out there that can provide this kind of service?

I don’t think the US Government should allow companies to operate that offer insurance and then deny benefits to someone who has been paying for coverage.
Ok just to add, this is not about me, but I work in the medical field and I hate seeing patients that die from not receiving treatments because their insurance companies denied benefits.

An insurance company is out to make a profit for it’s shareholders. It does this by estimating risk and assessing costs predicted to cover the risks and allow for profit.

To do this, they write out contracts, called policies, that lay out what risks they are willing to cover and what limitations apply. If they didn’t do this, they would be cheating their stockholders.

All benefits must have limits. This is because there is a finite pie to pass out. If they payed the multi-million dollars required to service one patient to the limits of modern medical care, they would deplete the very reserve needed to meet their other obligations.

The plain truth is that it is a business like any other. Not a church, not a moral exercise and not without constraints.

What is the best car insurance company?

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

I am looking for a car insurance company in georgia that will not break my pockets each month. I have a lot of tickets and two claims from an accident that I was in. Does anyone have a recommendation of a car insurance company that is not too expensive for someone in my bad shape?

Spend a bit of time getting quoted from the comparison sites then go for the cheapest one.
