Universal Health …
Universal Health with Single Payer is the answer. To say no to that is to say YES to more deaths like this. She should not have died. She died because of opposition to Universal Healthcare with Single Payer.

How can you call …
How can you call them greedy? If what I understand is true, this procedure was WAY out there, and it’s not Cigna’s faulth that it was not included. In fact, Cigna was being SELFLESS by agreeing to pay for the procedure out of pocket! That doesn’t seem greedy to me!

Right, But look at …
Right, But look at the costs of those long term policies. They are real and out there… I cannot afford them. Not on 60 000 a year pay. Insurance in the past was much better.
That is how they make more money, when they don’y pay out. It is more of a business. Not just cigna, they all are like that. I have to agree that they are Greedy. Every year they cover less and less. what else would you call it? Just look at what you pay a month now.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
I’m sure they paid …
I’m sure they paid what they thought would be the best premium for them. They just didn’t know that they would need something else.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
But here’s the …
But here’s the thing. When they signed that premium, they didn’t know that they would need that procedure. It was something that came out of nowhere. It is not Cigna’s fault that the family could not see into the future. If they had known, they could have had it included.

I really don’t get …
I really don’t get you. I am not trying to be rude, just trying to understand your logic. It almost seems like you are very happy with health insurance premiums going up and covering less every year. The plan might be the best that was offered through the employer. Does anyone actually see the bottom lines of what is not covered when they sign up when sign up. Regardless of price, if pay for something I just want it to work
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
So how do you …
So how do you propose to pay for stuff like this and what will that insurance cost? I am confused as to what you think Healthcare insurance should be. Would it not be nice to pay a premium and just have it covered? I would want this for my family. The big stuff is for when you really need it. Stitches and broken bones are affordable. Should we break it down to have two types of health insurance? What would you do if you needed the procedure and it just wasn’t covered and you could not afford it?
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Excuse me, but do …
Excuse me, but do you know anything about the specific details of this procedure? It wasn’t just a simple liver transplant, it was a different procedure, not covered by the girl’s parent’s insurance plan. Cigna chose to pay for it out of pocket. How does that make them guilty of a crime?
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
This has nothing to …
This has nothing to do with laws. The procedure was experimental and NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE PLAN THAT THE PARENTS HAD AGREED TO. Cigna chose to pay for the procedure out of their own pocket, and yet STILL people call them greedy.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
So who are you …
So who are you saying the laws protected?
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Yes, OTHER …
Yes, OTHER procedures. What are you trying to prove?
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Funny how these …
Funny how these procedures are done in the UK / England and are considered safe there for the last 10-15 years. Insurance companies should be charges with murder in this young life.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Cigna also has …
Cigna also has claimed that other procedures are “considered ” experimental- these have been done in the USA are for multiple disk replacment and others. Funny how these procedures are done in the UK / England and are considered safe there for the last 10-15 years. It is time to write our goverment and tell them to fix this problem beofre others die.

Why the echos in …
Why the echos in your plea for help. Most of it is not understandable. And the music. not
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
funny how the …
funny how the doctor’s didn’t just do the operation w/o getting paid if it was so dire.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Wrong. Actually, I …
Wrong. Actually, I am a liberal Democrat, but I did my research and found out that Cigna did nothing wrong in this case. Even this family’s lawyer dropped their case because he found that there was nothing to prosecute against Cigna.

You must be one of those dickhead Republicans.

OMG thats so sad …
OMG thats so sad RIP Nataline!!!
And i can’t believe Serj Tankian was at the end
he is so nice.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
You suck. The …
You suck. The procedure wasn’t covered by the insurance policy because it was experimental, so Cigna couldn’t cover them. Cigna was not being selfish or greedy. If your policy didn’t cover it, then blame yourself, not the company. This lawsuit is just the product of grief and anger, and wanting to put the blame on anyone but yourselves.
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
can you show me one …
can you show me one, single politician for whom i could vote who is NOT a bought-and0paid-for corporate tool? i can think of only one (ron paul) and he never stood a chance against the other two. saying ‘the blame falls on the american people’ is not completely accurate. even if you are one of those who believe that your vote actually does matter… you still have to admit that our voting choices don’t represent a real “choice” in this matter anyway
July 28th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
The real blame …
The real blame falls on the American people. American voters constantly elect corporatist douchebags who don’t care about the well being of the citizens. Voters who don’t keep themselves informed of the issues until it is too late. Voters who are often too lazy or too busy watching reality shows to do anything about their broken government. An unscrupulous system that rules over an uninformed and slothful population can get away with whatever it well pleases.
