Thanks to bush they …
Thanks to bush they are loads of laws and programs pre-deployed that would be effective in crushing such a movement.
Even the language is distasteful ‘Patriot act’ as in suggesting that you must be an enemy not go along with it. Horrible and terrifying wording.

3 weeks for ONE …
3 weeks for ONE shot. Goodness gracious.!!! And the costs you guys face is pretty high. I just checked what the best insurance my insurer would charge would cost = $145 per month. If you’re curious google MEDIBANK AUSTRALIA and get a quote.

If something like …
If something like that occured then I am pretty sure something drastic would happen within the American people. There is a limit to how much corruption and incompetence the American people, or any people will put up with from their government before they revolt. That is what’s so scary about this time in American history. We are closer to revolution than we ever have been since the last revolutionary war. All the signs are there for those who care to look…

could not agree …
could not agree with this video more.
this proposed plan is the worst ive ever heard, and offers no incentives to raise price and no legitimate competition for major insurance companies. I have no clue what he is thinking, or how this could possibly help lower cost or get people care.

Obama never had any …
Obama never had any intention of bringing in anything like universal health care. The insurance companies & the pharmaceutical companies pay him for his policies just like they pay the republicans.
Let’s all continue to have fun paying insurance companies to NOT cover us when we need it! WHEEEEE!!!

Waiting lines? I …
Waiting lines? I had to get a shot. 1 shot in the arm. I had to schedule it three weeks in advance. The insurance company refused coverage. I showed up @ DO’s office for my appointment and they cancelled because they hadn’t received the drug yet. My doctor charged the regular office visit of $75.00 plus the drug. I charged him back $25.00 for the cancellation (exactly what he charges). He laughed.

Bush proved it – …
Bush proved it – the president can come out & say & do whatever the he feels like because he knows the American people won’t do a thing about it. In fact, the more he doesn’t listen to the people the more likely he is to have a second term – goooooo Obama!
PS: Why aren’t the people FOR health care reform being as rowdy as the ones against? It shouldn’t matter if insurance companies are hiring busloads of clowns to go to these meetings; the people for reform should have guns & anger too!

the fines… IMO …
the fines… IMO are the biggest indication of a strong public option that is about to be unfolded. i think we will finally have true healthcare reform with a serious public option and that everyone knows it… and that all the left wing obama concerns are just there to make sure we all stay on offense.
otherwise he sold out completely. which i dont think is even remotely possible.
September 11th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Again, The equation …
Again, The equation still holds:
No cost control mechanism (”Public Option”) + “Individual mandate” (A Must) + Fines? = Multi-Hundred-Billion Stimulus/Susidy Bailout Bill for the private health care industry.
Is this “the means justify the end” solution?

I can’t even save …
I can’t even save 2500 dollars on my insurance, because I don’t pay that much, it’s about 75 euro, so +/- 100 dollars a month. I do have a cheap one with little extra’s, because I’m 26 years old and have never been to the hospital. But you can get your premium up to 100 euro or so, with worldwide full coverage. Point is, I get 60 euro a month back, because of low income (student) So I pay like 200 Euro A YEAR. Eat that USA. Btw I’m privately insured in Holland.

Thanks. I’m in …
Thanks. I’m in Australia. Me: M 39, non-smoker, no kids, Private basic hospital cover with some extras (I need to take the basic hospital because of income bracket or face extra tax), I pay $75/month private for hospital & extras (dental etc etc) PLUS a govt tax medicare levy of 1.5% of my taxable income (levy of about $1000 per annum). There is a co-contribution on some medicare services and extras. Not a perfect healthcare system (queues in public system etc) but it does work.

I’m a day late and I haven’t seen his “monumental straightforward speech”, but I refuse to call Obama a sellout b!%ch until I hear it. If he did say what I fear then we’re screwed.

September 11th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Am i understanding …
Am i understanding it correctly that they would fine people in the middle class if they had no health insurance?
I know under the public option bill you would be required to have health insurance, but would you be fined under that?
September 11th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
the majority of …
the majority of americans don’t deserve quality health care. they are too busy eating saturated fat, artificial everything, smoking, and doing every drug they can get their grubby hands on.
September 11th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
people that argue …
people that argue that they don’t want a public option because they don’t wanna spend the money need to realize that money is gonna be spent whether we have a public option or not… if the public option is shut down, the money is still gonna go to the private insurances and be passes as “healthcare reform”. That would be a big mistake. We cannot compromise with these people that have been nothing but racist to get their point out. We voted for Obama so y should we compromise to them?
