When I heard Obama say that in his speech, I figured that he had made a deal with the insurance companies to deliver to them the risk pool that they wanted. That risk pool involves everybody paying high premiums to the insurance companies, including the many healthy people who do not currently pay insurance premiums.

These provisions will be paid for by individuals and business who will be forced to buy insurance from private health insurance companies. And the insurance companies will increase those premiums whenever they want.
References :
There is no limits to what you can get for care when you are on social security disability and medaide. If you get cancer and are deemed disabled and have no income you get coverage.
It is the large pool of people paying in that covers it. This new plan will make it mandatory for the young and healthy to pay in so the few young and unhealthy can get coverage too and if the young and health get a catastrophic illness by chance, they will not weigh down the system by being covered in advance.
Almost all car insurance claims fit within the framework of their limits because the hurt people only sue for what are the limits but from time to time they take it to court and the insurance company has to pony up and pay.
So, the issue is down to this.
Everyone pays in, everyone recieves the benefit. I actually believe in a single payer system and a flat federal tax so that everyone will be treated fairly.
Insurance companies, and especially the health insurance companies are like the phone company used to be. They had a monopoly, full control. Why is phone service cheaper now than it was in 1979 30 years ago..

IT IS CALLED COMPETITION.....
References :
I completely agree. Can you imagine if an insurance company was forced to take on all customers with preexisting conditions . They would fold literally over night. Insurance is for unforeseen events, not to cover events after the fact. How can liberal expect insurance company's to stay in business when they are forced to cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical cost and only charge the client who's bills their paying a small premium each month ? God bless.
References :
So I pay insurance my entire life and they drop me because im forced to cash in on it for cancer treatment......seems hardly right. If thats the case i might as well just drop insurance and put money in a insurance savings account.
References :
It's safe to say that 95% plus of the general population will not run up $5 million plus in health care expenses over the course of a life time - which is the standard cap that most insurance companies offer now.
References :
Exactly, he also said they would all have to give insurance to pre-existing conditions on top of that by law. Which is good but it should cost more for those people. Its not possible to stay in business with Obama's conditions- Can you imagine the job loses with this bill? The only jobs out there will be govt, and the Americans who aren't govt pay govt jobs- so the more who lose private sector- the less money America has.. making a domino effect putting most everyone out of business- this is NUTTY!
We may have to live like PILGRIMS Soon- Only hunting will be illegal and fishing and we would be lucky to be able to grow our own food even!
References :
They wouldn't. Eventually they would realize their business is going under and just simply cut their losses.
