what exactly is an insurance quote?
I will no longer be covered under my parents insurance and I was needing to buy some and I keep hearing about quotes. what exactly are they? is it just a list of prices?
basically, yes, an insurance quote is a list of prices. There’s no commitment, it’s just what th eprice would be for the amount you are applying for. You should ALWAYS buy insurance through a broker (someone that deals with multiple companies). They will be able to shop around for you to find the best rates from all the companies available in your area and give you feedback on what companies are good and not, and can make sure the company is fine with any non-standard issues (if you have health problems, etc).

Its a list of estimated prices from a variety of other insurance companies that help you find the cheapest or more for your buck.
Totally an Example:
AAA 205<—– Cheapest.
Geico 600
All State 255

Yes, it’s the price. It’s just a quote because once the policy goes through the price can change.
