The premise and model are based upon this maxim:
We cannot all be free if we are not all equal.

    Americas core …
Americas core values of individual freedom & equality were not initially realized by all people, but over time, these values have been gradually applied to almost all divisions of American society. Depicted graphically, this model is a pier & beam foundation, creating an equal playing field of freedom. The piers represent common social divisions supporting the governmental social plane, which represents the accessibility of rights granted by government.

    At the core of …
At the core of American / Jeffersonian Democracy, are the values of personal freedom & equality. These values primarily apply to individuals, (The People), rather than collective entities (special interests) , such as corporate interests, or churches. The U.S. Constitution acts as a protective layer of these core values. Despite the lasting strength of the constitution, many special interests (both internal and external) threaten our democracy with poison arrows aimed at the core of the shield

    …which is broken …
…which is broken into 3 branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. These 3 governmental entities are mostly elected by the people to serve the peoples needs, and these 3 branches use a constitution as a guiding charter to ensure the preservation of this form of government, which is based upon the core values of individual freedom and equality.

    The American …
    The American Political System

America’s political structure is based upon Jeffersonian Democracy. This form of government is a united republic of states, with a shared power structure of elected officials, which is broken into 3 branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. These 3 governmental entities are mostly elected by the people to serve the peoples needs, & these 3 branches use a constitution as a guiding charter to ensure the preservation of this form of government

    The Melding of …
The Melding of Politics and Economics

Even though political and economic systems can be viewed as separate things, the two are almost always intertwined within most forms of government and economic systems. Various governments decide how political power is used, and by whom, but power itself is often gained by the manner of governance of its economic systems, or by the economic and industrial interests control of a government.

  9. henleythecat Says:

    In this ever …
In this ever increasing global economy, we will not be able to compete if our health care cost is not brought under control. Companies will continue to relocate jobs off shore, or move entirely. The higher our employment cost, the fewer jobs available. We are risking our future to save a private industry that has not been able through the free market to hold cost down or cover all Americans. Our future vs. the health insurance industry profits! The public option is at best a compromise.

    You sort of racism …
You sort of racism is old and played out. I’m far from rich but I have an infinitely better understanding of what made this nation great and what it tearing it apart. You can not support an entitlement society on the backs on the working/merchant class indefinitely like what has been going on for nearly a 100 years.

You lies designed to split the working/merchant people along race and sex is an empty & transparent tactic. It was the constitution that enabled us to be among the greatest nations.

    Id bet many here …
Id bet many here were telling everyone after the stolen 2000 election that we need to support Bush, because he is everybodys president. I never did and know in my heart that Bush stole the 2000 & 2004 elections, and therefore was never legitimate in my eyes. He doesnt support me at all. He (and Karl Rove & Frank Luntz) used fear and smear of gay people & liberals to gain power.

    I look for the …
I look for the truth, but I have to use a high powered BS filter to find it, as well as choose the right sources of information. Forget ALL cable news channels, or local TV or radio. Fox is the absolute worst, but theyre all pretty bad, and only offer infotainment and do nothing more than push your buttons. You know when your wife or husband does it to you and if that makes you mad, you should feel the same way toward how TV does it to you and manipulate you.

  19. mattimber Says:

    At the very least, …
At the very least, we need to end the Federal Reserve, do a full accounting of this central (PRIVATE) bank, and switch to a resource-based economy, and use clean (non-carbon, non-nuclear) and free electricity everyone generates as a form of credit and commodity.

  20. mattimber Says:

    The founders were …
The founders were fearful of industrial powers and banks overtaking the country, and THIS is precisely what is wrong with our country and government. Most of our media is controlled by the same ones controlling our government via lobbyists. If you control the message, you control the people. We need to Bulldoze K-Street, amend the constitution for more public oversight, get money out of Washington and reform the way people get elected.

  21. mattimber Says:

    This country was …
This country was not founded on capitalism, as you imply. Capitalism is a form of economics, which is a completely different thing than a form of government, which manages the people and resources in the country/state. Americas core values are Freedom and Equality. These two main principals are protected by a Bill of Rights and a system of government where power is shared between 3 branches of government, so that no single entity has too much power.

  24. mattimber Says:

    Bush brought down …
Bush brought down the debate into simple, binary thinking that divided people along economic and social schisms by using empty platitudes and taking a page from Joseph Goebbels as a political strategy. The truth is never so simple as black & white, its usually a shade of gray, and this applies especially in politics.

  25. mattimber Says:

    …and the …
…and the conservatives may call themselves this, but what do they want to conserve? Oil? The environment? Fiscal responsibility? These words liberal or conservative dont mean anything because the we all forgot the meaning of these verbs and how they can apply differently with different mindsets, and how people feel differently on different issues.
